In order for users to be able to download and use your app, it needs to be published on an app store. We create two versions of each app, an iOS version for the Apple App Store and an Android version for the Google Play Store, to ensure maximum coverage across smartphone users.

Developer Accounts

In order to launch an app on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, developer accounts are required.

Once you have completed the app design and you are ready to launch the app on the app stores, you will need to decide whether you wish to set-up your own developer accounts or use ours.

1. Using your own developer accounts

Pros:

  • Legal ownership and control of the app

  • Your company name will be appear as the developer on the app store listing

Cons:

  • $25 one-off fee for Google and $99 yearly fee for Apple

  • Long set-up & review process

2. Using our developer accounts

Pros:

  • No fees

  • Quick turnaround

Cons:

  • No legal ownership or control of the app

  • 'Venn Apps Ltd' will appear as the developer on the app store listing

3. Transferring ownership

You can transfer ownership of an app from one developer account to another but this process can take a couple of weeks.

πŸ’‘ Pro Tip:

  • It's best practice to set-up your own developer accounts. However, you can always launch the app on our developer accounts and then have it transferred to another account at a later date.
